The mission of Project Mosaic is to enhance social, economic, and behavioral science research at UNC Charlotte. Project Mosaic provides an intellectual collaborative community that connects social science researchers with a broader community of scholars. It also fosters the creation of research teams spanning multiple disciplines in social, economic and behavioral sciences, as well as bridging the span from social sciences to data sciences. Project Mosaic provides research support to investigators in the areas of collaborative planning, development and design of research projects, research design, and analysis. We strive for the highest possible level of scholarship in social sciences, within a space of research practice that is evidence-based, relevant to contemporary human societies, and dares to leverage the full potential of varied and large data streams and innovative analytical research designs.
What we do:
Project Mosaic recognizes that one of the most potent ways of engaging in impactful research of societal relevance, team work is essential to tackle the multiple facets of the complex real world and its futures. To this end, we believe that a strong appreciation for the common language of scientific discovery – Data Analytics and Research Methods, is essential. Through a portfolio of capacity-building services provided by Project Mosaic, the campus community gains support and access to a broader pool of research methods and data analytics. Learn more about the services available to you through Project Mosaic. As a research incubator, Project Mosaic also proactively initiates collaborative research projects engaging its faculty and graduate affiliates. Thus, Project Mosaic is a critical resource for securing external funding.
